A special personalised CampusCard (with ID functionality) is also available to lecturers working for the university on a self-employed basis ('Lehrbeauftragte').
- Sign up for your CampusCard in the Stud.IP card portal. You will be issued a CampusCard with a 'valid-until' strip which needs to be filled in at a validation terminal to render the card valid. After validation, the card is valid until the end date of the teaching contract.
- You will not need to return the CampusCard after the end of the teaching contract.
- Although you will still be able to use the electronic wallet functionality for the refectory and cafeterias, as well as the printer-copiers, the access card functions (for access to the Sports Centre, WIWI car park and lockers) are limited to the term of the teaching contract.
- If any intervening periods between teaching contracts are less than 18 months in length, these functions can be re-activated easily by the Human Resources Division. Once the HR Division has processed the teaching contract, you can validate your CampusCard as before. If the previous teaching contract ended more than 18 months earlier, you will have to apply for a new CampusCard.
